I. Palm oil

Palm oil process line includes sterilizing, threshing, digesting, pressing, clarification, purification and drying. Then you can get crude palm oil.

1.1 Reception station

Palm fruit oil mill Reception is used for loading the Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) to the palm fruit cage. Adopt hydraulic control system. as our experience, some palm oil pant use concrete structure, but it’s not good for cleaning. Now we adopt steel material, fence structure. Some impurity will drop down to a conveyor, impurity will conveyed to outside. Easy for cleaning.

Low cost, Simple structure, Easy operated.

1.2 Sterilizing station

Boiling and sterilizing fresh palm fruit bunches at high temperature( more than 145℃). The bunches are airtigLD in sterilizer. The purpose of this station is to prevent enzymes from breaking down, so that FFA content of the fruit will not increase further. Besides, that also makes the fruits soft and wet, easy to get off bunches and be crashed.

For big scale palm plant, we suggest horizontal sterilizer, which deals with large quantity of raw material effectively in short time, but expensive and complex. If you’ve a small mill, an vertical sterilizer is enough. It is economic and easy to operate.

Our sterilizer is produced according to the national safety requirements for pressure vessel.

1.3 Threshing station

Use revolving drum thresher to separate oil palm fruit from empty fruit bunch through strong vibration. The stripped palm fruits will be conveyed to the next station, the digest-er. The empty fruit bunches can be used as burning materials or fertilizer for palm fruit plantation.

We can design the size of the thresher according to the capacity of your palm oil mill. Usually we have a spare one, in case the other one goes out of work.

Our thresher is made of steel structure, easy to clean, easy to operate, and easy to maintain.

1.4 Digesting station

Before pressing, sterilized and stripped palm fruits are conveyed to digest-er. There are rolling blades in the digest-er, which are driven by one motor on the top of the digest-er. The blades stir and crash palm fruits. Besides, we will fill the digest-er with indirect hot steam for heating and cooking. As a result, the fruit peel are broken off; fruit pulp become crashed and soft; fruit kernel is separated from pulp; pulp cell structure is destroyed under high temperature, making the oils and fats easier to get out, yielding much oil.

1.5 Pressing station

We generally use continuous screw press. After pressing, oil palm fruits fall into two parts: mixture of oil, water and solid impurities, the pressed cakes(fiber and nut). The former part inflows to oil purification tank by way of crude oil gutter; pressed cakes into the fiber-recovery section by breaking screw conveyor.

1.6 Clarification and purification

Machine-pressed crude palm oil may contain 66% oils and fats, 24% moisture, 10% solid impurities, such as sludge, etc.

We use screening filter and decanter centrifuge to remove moisture, fiber, sludge and other impurities from crude palm oil to make it clean(get 90% pure oil).

1.7 Drying

Through centrifugal separation and vacuum drying, oil is pumped into the storage tank for storing; The water in clean oil shall be between 0.1%-0.2%, impurity less than 0.02%, which is the required standard for storage. Oil sediment by filtration and dirt oil separation, oil proceeds second settlement, dirty oil mixture proceeds clarification separation. Skim oil then be carried out a second settlement, sewage pumps to sewage treatment pond for dealing.

1.8 Purified palm oil quality index

Appearance: clear and transparent;

Smell and taste: no strange smell, taste good;

Color ≤ R1Y10 (lovibond colorimeter 133.4 slots);

Moisture and volatile matter ≤ 0.10%;

Impurities content ≤ 0.10%;

Acid value≤ 0.12mg KOH/g;

Peroxide value ≤ 3mmol/kg.

II. Palm Kernel Oil

Crude palm kernel oil process line includes polishing, crushing and pressing.

2.1 Polishing station

Separating nuts and fiber by wind drying system. Pressed cake broken by breaking screw conveyor and then transported into the fiber separation air net and fiber polishing roller for fiber separating. The separated fiber material is sent to the boiler room as fuel; the separated stone is transported to stone warehouse by pneumatic conveying system for temporary storage.

2.2 Crushing

Crushing nuts to get kernels and shells. The nut is divided into two or more petals by corrugated crusher. Kernel is released. The broken mixture enters into broken mixture separation system; separation system adopts two stage separation and water separation. After separation, shell is sent to the warehouse for temporary storage, as boiler room fuel when necessary.

2.3 Pressing

Pressing kernels to get crude palm kernel oil. If you want to get better quality oil, you can refine it. Refining includes degumming, bleaching, deodorization, deacidification and fractionation.
